CCP Officials Working To Enforce New Internet Restrictions
This week featured an update from ChinaAid's reporting team on the new Internet restrictions that came into force on March 1st. You may recall these measures required approval from the CCP to "teach on the Internet, conduct religious education and training, publish sermons or repost or link related content, organize religious activities on the Internet, or live broadcast or record and broadcast religious ceremonies.”
ChinaAid reporters found provinces have started to process applications for these new Internet usage 'licenses' and are working on improving auditing standards to ensure religious information is in line with the CCP's rhetoric.
Visit ChinaAid's website to read more about the plans for issuing online licenses for "official religious groups."
Per ChinaAid correspondent Gao Zhensai, "Although the Chinese government says these measures are aimed at protecting national security and social stability, the real purpose behind these various licenses is to strengthen China’s ruling party’s strict control over religious information."
Please keep our brothers and sisters in Christ across China in your prayers amid these restrictions
Arrested Human Rights Activist Guo Feixiong Sends His Will
ChinaAid learned this week that human rights activist Guo Feixiong, who was barred from traveling to the United States in January after his wife passed away from cancer, included his will in a letter to his elder sister.
Guo was formally arrested in mid-January and banned from leaving China to come to the United States and comfort his surviving children in the wake of his wife's death on January 10th.
"Above are our will and rights. I feel deeply guilty and saddened by my wife’s death. I want to be with her forever to make up," Guo writes in his letter, which you can view on ChinaAid's website.
Please keep Guo, his children, and family members in your prayers

Serikzhan Bilash: Kazakh Authorities Labeled Me A "Terrorist"
In part four of human rights activist Serikzhan Bilash's interview with ChinaAid, Serikzhan goes into detail about the close relationship between the Chinese Communist Party and the Kazakh government.
"The relationship between the Chinese government and the Kazakh government is very close. I can conclude that the Chinese government has obtained the consent of the Kazakh government in arresting the Kazakhs in Xinjiang," Serikzhan notes.
Serikzhan also explains how in Kazakhstan "...when my mother died, the Kazakh Notary Public’s database clearly showed me as a "terrorist.” I don’t even have the right to Power of Attorney. All of my bank accounts have been frozen, my real assets have been frozen, and even my car has been deleted from the mobile vehicle database."
