ICC Announces Top Persecutors for 2022

Last week, International Christian Concern launched its biggest report of the year, shedding light on the world’s most notorious persecutors of Christians. Our team of Washington, D.C.-based analysts spends thousands of hours annually reporting on and analyzing reports from our overseas staff and sources. This effort is to bring to light what our persecuted brothers and sisters experience in the dark, and to draw attention to the suffering they endure to live out the faith they have chosen.

The 2022 Persecutor of the Year Awards highlighted 16 of the world’s worst persecuting countries, entities, and individuals. Among the top dis-honorees this year were Afghanistan as the worst persecuting country, Nigeria’s Fulani militants as the worst persecuting entity, and Iran’s Ali Khamenei as the worst persecuting individual.
