Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters...Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering. (Hebrews 13:1-3)
Did you know you’re a part of a global community of four and a half thousand supporters who also receive this email and pray for justice across the world? We are so thankful for you and for your commitment to pray with us and for the people we work for.
Pray for Pastor Lorenzo
This week, we are asking you to join us in praying for Pastor Lorenzo and his family in Cuba: his wife Maridilegnis, son David and daughter Lorena. Next week (Wednesday 26), marks his 51st birthday – his second birthday spent in prison instead of with his loved ones.
In April, Pastor Lorenzo was sentenced to seven years in prison on unfounded charges of ‘disrespect’, ‘public disorder’, ‘criminal incitement’ and ‘assault’, after he took part in a peaceful protest in July 2021.
While we continue to campaign and call out for justice for Pastor Lorenzo, we also believe in the power of prayer to bring change.
To that end, join us this week in praying for…
- Pastor Lorenzo as he approaches his birthday. Pray that the God of all strength and comfort would be with him today and always.
- Pray for his family: Maridilegnis, David and Lorena. Pray for them to feel close to their husband and father.
- Pray for his release from prison, that one day soon he will encounter justice and freedom.
Thank you for standing with this brave and remarkable family.
