Hebrews 10:36-37 NLT
“Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do GOD’s will. Then you will receive all that He has promised. “For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay.”
The Christian's present conflict may be tough, but will be soon over. GOD is never pleased with the formal profession and outward duties and services of those who do not persevere; but He looks at them with great displeasure. And those who have kept their faith and remained faithful in great trails in this lifetime, have reason to hope for the same grace to help them to continuously live by faith, till they receive the end of their faith through patient endurance, even the salvation of their souls. Living by faith, and dying in faith, our souls are safe for ever in CHRIST JESUS.
Always remember what Holy Scripture says in 2 Corinthians 4:17 “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”
Prayer:
I turn to You, the “GOD who gives endurance and encouragement.” I ask that I would be “strengthened with all power according to your glorious might so that I may have great endurance and patience.” Your Word says that “suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.” LORD, please give me strength to take the next step and the faith to believe that You will keep giving me grace and strength when I need it. I also pray for those who are suffering, specifically the ones who are sick…Would You give them endurance, character and hope?
I rest and trust in You, dear GOD, the Mighty One who does not quit on any of Your promises, including Your promise to never leave or forsake me. May Your SPIRIT empower me to have a lasting influence on others as I learn to patiently endure under trial…
