JOHN 5:19
“Therefore JESUS answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the FATHER doing; for whatever the FATHER does, these things the Son also does in like manner.”
JESUS came into this life to do the will of His heavenly FATHER, and not His own will. The Bible says that He went about doing good and healing all manners of sickness, illness and disease.
ACTS 10:38 ESV
“how GOD anointed JESUS of Nazareth with the HOLY SPIRIT and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for GOD was with HIM.”
GOD is pure grace and love and never wishes harm to anyone. The idea that it is GOD’s will that bad things happen to people is not only misguided but potentially devastating. How can people love a GOD who wishes them ill or has hurt them? The New Testament teaches that GOD wills only good for all His people. There is nothing more important to our Creator than for every one of us to have as much happiness and fulfillment as humanly possible. When bad things happen, GOD feels our pain, is very present with us, and works to bring out the best in a bad situation.
What we must remember is that GOD takes the long view. His goal is not only to give us temporary comfort in this world, but rather He looks to our eternal welfare. The LORD provides constant grace and love in CHRIST JESUS, so that the choice for good is always present, and continually lifts us up from our pain and our heartaches as we live and love this life He gives us here and now. -The real question is, can we trust GOD? Can we embrace His will? Can we find the good, or at least pursue it, and allow the force of GOD’s grace and love to lift us up? -When we do this we can be, blessed, healed and even grow. And this growth is for our eternal good! Even in what might appear as the worst of times, His grace and love flows and can carry us to all things blessed. We can trust that we are being cared for, that our eternal happiness is the most important thing GOD has in mind for us. Our choice is to believe, accept His good will and freely choose it. Trust GOD and His Word, believe in CHRIST JESUS…Get into His grace, His love, then be at peace and enjoy life in His will.
