Proverbs 14:34, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”
Proverbs 14:16-18 “For they cannot rest until they do evil;
they are robbed of sleep till they make someone stumble.
17-They eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. 18-The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”
Good and evil are opposites, and good men and evil men are also opposites. They are perpetual enemies (Proverbs 29:27). -Wise and just men choose to live successful lives, and GOD blesses them with light (Proverbs 4:18). -Foolish and wicked men live in darkness, stumbling through a dysfunctional life by the blindness of arrogant and ignorant hearts (Proverbs 4:19).
There are two kinds of people on earth – the righteous and the wicked. In this few verses, we see an established rule, or standard, composed of two alternatives. There is no middle ground. There are two causes, each with its own effect. There are no neutral men. Righteous men are the followers of JESUS CHRIST and godliness, and wicked men are the captive slaves of Satan’s deception and lies. Sin is the root and the fruit is unrighteousness ! Turn away from righteousness and evil is right there with you. Only faith in the Righteous One—JESUS CHRIST can save from Satan’s dominion and rule. Believe in JESUS, trust in His Words, and enjoy the beautiful benefits of a living a righteous life in CHRIST.
Righteous living is a life of faith in the LORD JESUS and the Word of GOD, and nothing else. Our good works are not a result of our own righteousness, but the result of His righteousness in us. We know we are truly saved by His grace because we bear good fruit and obey the Word of GOD. These things result from experiencing GOD’s grace because we have been made righteous through the Son, JESUS CHRIST.
Prayer:
ABBA FATHER, thank You for making me righteous and holy in Your eyes because of what JESUS has accomplished through the cross. I am thankful for all the things He has done for all sinners including me. Thank You for sending Your only Begotten Son to the world because of Your great love for us. May the revelation of JESUS be upon all sinners that they may know that a righteous life is made possible to whoever believes and trusts in CHRIST as their personal Savior and Lord. You, O LORD deserves all the praise and glory and honor, in JESUS’ Holy Name. Amen.
