Psalm 34:4
“I sought the LORD, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears.”
Many times throughout the Psalms, we hear David crying out in fear to GOD. David had a lot to fear. His life was wrought with death, hurt, and betrayal. But even in David’s deepest and darkest times, he would call out to GOD and ask for deliverance.
We should often seek wise council in the Psalms to find out how to be a “man after GOD’s own heart.” We must strive not to let fear overwhelm us. GOD’s Word makes us conquer and overcome fear.
We are not alone. GOD is always there for us, and He is always listening to our prayers. He can help us with our fears, and He can deliver us from all of them.
Prayer:
Heavenly FATHER, we come before You with grateful hearts, seeking the treasures of wisdom, love, compassion and understanding that You offer to all who believe. Help us not to fear but to look up to You and completely trust You. May we be guided by Your light to discover the hidden riches within Your Word and in our relationships with You and Your Son JESUS. May the HOLY SPIRIT help us to cherish the blessings we have in CHRIST JESUS and to share them generously, so that we may build a godly family and community rooted in Biblical faith, love and compassion, in JESUS’ Marvelous Name. Amen.
