In Luke 24:46-48, the risen JESUS gave His disciples a greater understanding of the resurrection when He told them: "This is what is written: The CHRIST will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in His Name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things."

JESUS foretells of His resurrection in John 16, then to one of the doubting witnesses, Thomas, He says the following in John 20:29: "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

Resurrection Sunday is a time to celebrate JESUS' victory over Satan, sin and death, offering hope and new life.
It’s a fitting day to reflect on the significance of JESUS’ resurrection, expressing gratitude for the FATHER’s love, and praying for a renewed sense of faith and hope. Today, let us thank ABBA GOD for the gift of JESUS CHRIST and the assurance of eternal life through His resurrection.

Prayer:
FATHER GOD, we praise You for sending Your Son to abide with us and be with us. Life can feel lonely, but the fact is, we are never alone. That is a truth we can cling to during life’s most challenging and trying moments. Thank You for giving us the grace to release our failed efforts and bottled-up emotions to You, free of judgment and full of Your healing love. Forgive us for walking through life without the joy that JESUS died to fill our hearts with. Help us to find You in the hard moments of life, and remember the comfort and truth of Your promises during seasons of suffering.

LORD JESUS, You never leave us, and always guide us. Who we are becoming is no secret to You, You who formed us in our mother’s womb. You came down to earth to save us, love us, and show us how to live. May we chase after You all of our days, and experience the rich and irreplaceable peace that allows us to overcome, to walk victoriously, and to hold onto hope. In the most holy and powerful Name of JESUS, Amen.
