(Huainan, Anhui—Aug. 3, 2020) A couple is missing after Christians sat outside a church for two weeks to protect its cross from demolition.The Christians gathered outside of Shiwan Christian Church in July and sang hymns as they tried to block demolition crews. After two weeks, officials came and took away one the church’s preachers, Liu Aijia, and her husband. The couple has not been seen or heard from since.
